Then, in 2010, “Yes He Is Russia” translated her life story into Russian. A short film titled “Letter to my aborted daughter”, based on Melissa losing her unborn daughter to abortion, went viral in 2018 and has been selected for Christian film festivals in the USA on several occasions.
In 2017, after giving birth to her last-born child, Melissa began to bleed out and lost 80% of her blood. Against all odds, and by God’s grace, Melissa survived. It is one of the reasons she is so passionate about living life on purpose and making a change.
